Original Sterling Silver Lhasa Apso pin OOAK CAC 1/1 dog jewelry amethyst CZ

Gorgeous!!! One of a kind!! Sterling silver Lhasa Apso pin, with stars, amethyst and czs!!! Very stylish, a wild design, OOAK.
I made this piece by using the lost wax jewelry method (my business name when I started making mostly jewelry originals, was Lost Wax Jewelry by Cindy A. Conter, I started selling my art work at dog shows in 1972. ) This piece is an original.
I first carved this piece in wax using dental tools.  After carving, I invested it into a plaster like mold, burned out the wax and cast in the hot sterling silver. While still hot, I tossed the plaster (acturally called investment) mold into water which diluted out the plaster and left the silver piece. I then cut off the sprues and cleaned it up, then polished it. This was a lot of work and if I made a mistake during casting, I had to start completely over as I did not make molds on my work, I did only originals (unless commissioned for special events and then I did limited editions. )
My aunt raised Lhasas in the 70's up through the 80's, she also was an artist, so...naturally I made lots of Lhasa jewelry. This little guy is standing alertly and above it are 5 stars, the center star has a round sparkly amethyst and the stars on each end have a cz set in each. I don't know the size of the stones, but they really sparkle. There is a pin backing soldered onto the back of the stars and the lhasa hangs by two short lengths of sterling chain. This was one of my favorite lhasa pieces and I would wear this at some of the all breed shows that I sold my jewelry at!!
The back has my signature ( I no longer do original sterling silver jewelry, my last pieces were made through 1996.  I had to give up vendorships at dog show many years ago, so I am now selling my favorite sterling silver pieces on EBAY.
