    Description

I own a specialty advertising company, now in our 43rd year - and I was in the industry for many years prior to establishing my own firm.   We are now in the semi-retirement stages and I am offering our somewhat unusual advertising pieces collected over the years.
Among our better clients was Electrolux, the makers of those fine vacuum cleaners.   Here is an assortment of over-run salesman samples from actual orders I sold to Electrolux.   They range in tie period from the late 1970's to the '80's to the '90's.
And here is what the fortunate buyer will receive:
    A.   At the time, most States only required rear auto plates, thereby freeing up the front plate area for specialty usage.   Electrolux saw this as an opportunity to advertise that the driver worked with them.   Here is an over-run sample of a very nice embossed aluminum auto tag manufactured by my supplier, Dixie Stamp & Seal, or Dixieline.  The tag is actually 3-D embossed giving depth and visual appeal.   The size is 12" x 6" with four mounting holes.  Still in original factory cello wrap, and U.S.A. made.
    B.   We also sole Electrolux license plate frames, and here is the one.   It is in cast metal with both top and bottom copy in 3-D raised letters for added depth.   The top reads / "SALES - SERVICE", and the bottom is the famous Electrolux logo.   Made in the U.S.A.
    C.   The W.E. Bassett Company was, and still is a preferred supplier of a certain line of products.   Here is an example of their key case / knife set.   The case is in Top grain black tanned leather, and features a snap opening with multiple key attachments inside.   Also as part of the item is a quality three blade knife.   One blade is very sharp, a second one a file, and third is a bottle opener - screwdriver.   All blades are in stainless steel.  It is gift packaged in a two piece gift box.   This too was made in the U.S.A.
    D.   Electrolux's Southeast Sales area salesmen (and at the time, all salesmen were men) were called the "Tigers".   Here is a very clever ice scraper in the form of a Tiger!   As soon as I saw this item, I knew Electrolux would love it and buy it.   And they did!   U.S.A. made.
    E.   In the 1970's LCD, or Liquid Crystal Display, was big.   Due to the relatively high price of the Electrolux vacuum cleaners (because they were very well made), most were sold on pay-over-time installment plans.   The Atlanta Treasury office was charged with the responsibility of collecting for cleaners.   They used this nice LCD thermometer for those who collected - at the time, all female.   This highly accurate thermometer, folds flat, but is then easily assembled for prominent display.   U.S.A. made.
    F.   Here are two useful pocket accessories - one in brown and one in tan.   Each contains an area for phone numbers, metric equivalent chart, business card slot and pad.
    G.   The Atlanta Treasury office distributed this nice deck of playing cards.   Cello wrapped, and boxed.   They were manufactured by Paris Playing Card Company, and U.S.A. made too!
    H.   The "Crooked Pen".   This was by my supplier, Goldbond.   The pen shape is actually crooked, and the clever copy reads..."October Trial
Balance / Shape Up Your Collections / Regular Collections 93% / First Pay Collections 96% / Atlanta Treasury Office".  I believe this pen was from the late 1970's, and purchased by my good friend and customer, Jack W.   Made in the U.S.A.
    I.   Another unusual pen related item is the "Courier", by Action Line.   It features a high quality key ring with a removable pen.   Still in original printed cello packaging.  U.S.A. made as well.
    J.   Attachable pen with coil was a popular writing instrument.   Another Atlanta Treasury Office piece, and U.S.A. made.
    K.   Key ring address book.   Pages turn out so one can write addresses, etc.  The spine reads..."My Own Who's Who".   U.S.A. made.
Note on pens / These contain original refills.   If used rather than displayed, new ones needed.
    L.   Scripto butane lighter, in silver finish with Electrolux logo one side / Silverado logo on reverse.  Obviously, not filled.   Made in the U.S.A.
    M.   Here are two lapel pins Electrolux awarded graduates of it's Management Training Center.
One final Electrolux note:   They had an unofficial slogan..."Nothing Sucks Like An Electrolux!"
And one last observation - All of these goods are made in the U.S.A.   Difficult to find that in today's marketplace...
What an excellent addition for anyone who worked or works for Electrolux, or perhaps collects such unusual memorabilia.   All are over-run samples, never used, and well preserved, even after so many years.
It is from a smoke-free, pet-free, climate controlled environment.
