Antique OPAL 8k Rose GOLD Ring Gypsy Etched Feather Acanthus Leaf Wide Band Gift

ABOUT:
Beautiful antique opal ring in 8k rose gold with oval, iridescent opal set in a gypsy / flush mount setting with wide band and sweetly etched shoulders.  The shoulders depict a swooping feather or acanthus leaf type decoration.  Such a lovely piece from the Jugendstil / Art Nouveau period.  The band of the ring is wide all the way around, but it has worn a bit thin, please see notes below.
This is an antique piece that I acquired in Europe, as such it is marked 333 to signify 8k gold, which is the gold standard there. While it is a lower carat, it is real gold, not gold filled or gold plated so it won't flake away or show underlying metal over time like antique gold plated or fill would.
Beautiful ring, and would make a great gift as well.  Low profile makes it comfortable to wear and won't catch on clothing.
SIZE & MEASUREMENTS:
Currently a size 8 3/4 so it may have been a men's ring. The opal is about 8.5mm by a little over 5mm.
HALLMARKS:
Marked 333 for 8k gold.
IMPORTANT CONDITION NOTES:
No deep chips or cracks to the stone. It does have some scratches that are deeper but the stone has a nice polished finish so the scratches are really only visible under magnification.  The opal appears pretty white, with specks of blue, orange and green reflecting from the back of the stone in bright light.  It is not as blue as some of my other antique opals.  The band is wide all the way around but it does thin towards the back and get a little ripply from having been sized.  The back edge of the band has a sharper feel because it has worn thin so please look for those issues on the back of the band in the photos. It is a pretty thin and lightweight piece.  Still beautifully designed with a lovely rose gold patina. Some surface wear to the gold seen on the feathers when you see it in a reflection. Just being picky, it presents beautifully but due to age - please note this is not a mint condition item.
