You are bidding on an Agilent 8164B Lightwave Mainframe with 81600B Tunable Laser with Options 072 (PMF, angled contact output connector) and 160 (All-band Tunable Laser Source 1495 nm to 1640 nm, low SSE), an 81634B Power Sensor and an 81610A Return Loss Module. This lightwave measurement system will arrive with a fresh calibration performed by an ISO 17025 accredited lab. The Agilent 8164B Lightwave Measurement System is the ideal mainframe for test solutions of fast and accurate optical applications because it hosts one of Agilent high end tunable laser sources and up to 4 compact modules.
The Keysight 81600B Tunable Laser Source Family comprises the most versatile and high performance tunable laser sources on the market. It allows WDM developers and manufacturers to dramatically reduce test cost, and increase profits by quick return-on-investment. The Keysight 81600B family enables the most precise characterization of advanced optical components with its fast and accurate sweep across the entire wavelength range and specified accuracy during the sweep. Signal output with low spontaneous emission (SSE) permits measurement of filters with highest dynamic range.
The Keysight 81634B optical power sensor is the right choice for accurate power measurements on fiberoptic devices. The modular sensor fits into all Keysight 816x Lightwave mainframes and can be used singly or in multiples for parallel measurements of multichannel devices. The input fiber is easily attached using Keysight's flexible connector adapters or bare-fiber adapter
The module can run measurement applications like data logging, stability and recording minimum and maximum values over time. Triggered synchronization with tunable laser modules enables powerful spectral measurements, with the advantages of higher resolution, better polarization dependence and cost-and-time-efficient multichannel expandability. The module logs up to 20,000 samples with averaging time as low as 100µs.
Keysight's 81610A Return Loss module is the tool of choice for measuring return loss (RL) and reflection of single-mode fiberoptic components. The module measures the optical power into and reflected back from the device under test and calculates and displays the return loss. Thorough built-in functionality provides the correct coupling and detection ratios and eliminates the effects of dark current and residual backscatter in the instrument setup to provide accurate measurements over a wide dynamic range.
The Return Loss modules can be used in any 816x Lightwave mainframe and an external fixed-wavelength or tunable laser source. The performance and usability is enhanced by combination with a Keysight power sensor in the 8163B mainframe for simultaneous RL and insertion loss measurements, especially in combination with the 81610CC calibrated reference cable. Automated use is supported by the 816x Plug&Play Driver, which also supports use of the module for advanced swept-wavelength RL measurements.

Buyers are required to notify us immediately if an instrument arrives damaged, and must keep all boxes and packing materials in case a UPS damage inspection is necessary. An extended warranty of 30 days is available for all direct purchases from Spaulding Surplus, LLC and established customers purchasing directly may qualify for net 30 payment terms with PO required prior to shipment.
